Happy Birthday to You...

What does a three year old like to do on their birthday? PLAY at the PARK!
So for our daughter's birthday party, we went to a nice small park in Cypress with most of our family and had a ball. Lots of family came out, nieces, nephews, family friends, grandmas, my two sister-in-laws, and cousins, even though it was chilly outside, and we had a good time.

Cali, (the birthday girl) was everywhere, playing with everybody, making her rounds with all her guest>>> sounds just like her mother!

My mom wasn't feeling well the whole week prior, but was able to pull enough strength together to make it out that day; she always comes through, thanks Mom!
At the park there was this crazy spinning seat, and even though your not going (what looks like)very fast, you definitely feel like that thing is spinning you faster then a merry-go-round (for ya'll older people who remember what that is).
I captured 3 good photos as an example from my sister-in-law Selina, of what happens after that. All the kids loved it and hated it at the same time. It's like one of those things you can't get enough of; it was funny to watch!

All in all it was a good day with everyone. Thank you all for coming out to party with Cali.

Happy Birthday MooMoo!

Spooky Theatre

After class Professor Bumatay took us out to practice different lighting and composition, and we ended up in the theatre department messing around. He's very helpful, patient, and so freakin' creative, it's ridiculous...and I mean that in a good way! Some of these shots are behind the scenes of the theatre. Before we left, we set our timers and took a group shot making our spooky faces. It was fun, sneaky, and I learned a lot! Thank you Greg!

Identical Twins

I do not have very many pictures of my "Ladies" where they look Identical, but this shot captured it well. They are what is classified as "Identical mirror twins" which makes them rare and unique, but then again they are already that without their classification...I love you Ladies!
I really like this picture of them together, even though they are in harsh lighting, the squinting of their eyes, and the softness look on their faces is so captivating.

Left Over Treasure

These pictures are some nice leftover shots I took of my family while shooting for my group assignments. I love Daishae's letter "K" picture. It kind of sucks being the photographer sometimes because I'm not able to be in the pictures, and I am a Ham, please believe! But it's always nice to look at my work, that' s the most rewarding part of it all.

Group Portraits

This assignment was fun even though I had to re-shoot. It was really nice to get some pictures of my husband with the children, even though we left out the baby. We caught the last twenty-five minutes of sunlight, which worried me a little, but all went well....thanks to the great teachings of my awesome professor.

fun shots

The children are so goofey sometimes, so you have to catch those crazy, fun shots as much as you can, and post them of course!
