Miss Cali

Cali is such a HAM in front of the camera, when she's by herself that is! These are some of the pictures I took of her at the park when I was trying to take those portrait photos of my group. She'll look at me when it's just her, but I had the hardest time getting her to look at me when everybody else was posing for the shot :-) I love my HAM little though!

Assignment #3 first shoot

For this assignment, we were to show negative space, shoot through objects, show layers and show leading lines. This was my first session with Tiera as my model. When I turned in the assignment my professor gave it back to me that same day telling me he'd give me a B+ instead of a C+ if I shot it again, and I did, I just wanted to display both, so one twin doesn't think she's any better or less than the other because it was my fault (the photographer) not the model's fault>>>They're equally beautiful!

Assignment #3 second session

These are some of the pictures I took for the same assignment, but this was my re-shoot at a different location, on a different day using the other twin...I posted them both, so everyone could see if there was any noticeable improvement made.

portraits assignment

I had this assignment to shoot four or more people in natural light for portraits, so I chose my kids; however, it was all bad! We went to the park, I had some composition ideas for the children to poses as, but either I could not get them to ALL look at me at the same time (mainly the baby), my lighting was not right, or it just did not come out how I imagined it in my creative head. These are just some decent ones I wanted to post just for fun. Out of 157 shots I did not get ONE I thought would be "turn in material". So I have to re-shoot, but here are my kids>>>> Gotta love 'um!

On the shoulders

The baby loves to be placed on our shoulders, when being carried for any reason.

As my older daughter turned to walk away, the baby was chanting, SHAKE YO BOOTY, SHAKE YO BOOTY! So they continued walking down the sidewalk shaking their butts, looking real crazy!

Daddy's Girl

I love this picture of her hugging her daddy, it's like she's saying "MINE!"

Gotcha!

This was just one of those quick snapshots

Neptune Street

For some reason I like this shot. It's busy, but nice! This street is located one block from Newport Beach.

Silly Cali

I like her silly smile as she holds up her pants and trys to poses, knowing I'm taking pictures of her...Baby Multi-tasking!

Last look

I like this shot because you can see good outlines of their bodies, with the smooth wet sand as a nice background. We had fun at the beach that evening, just me and the girls.

Girls playing in the water

One is in the water and the other is anticipating it coming towards her, preparing to jump.

Daishae's Silhouette

I love how you can see the ripples in the water and the angles of her body. She looks like she's going to fall on her butt.

Tiera's Silhouette

It looks like she's doing a karate kick in this shot when really she's getting ready to tip toe her way out the water because the bottom of her skinny jeans just got wet.

Cali's Silhouette

I like this picture of her heading out towards the water. My son says she looks like the size of a seagul in front of that big ocean.

helping hands

It is so nice to have someone always there for you, helping you through those hard steps.

My Ladies

After sundown

I like the color separtation in this picture, the darkness of the sand and the tint of the sky.

Waves

I love the water! It is so fascinating to observe and watch its movement.

Newport Beach and Pier

I like the cove look of the beach from this side view

On the Rocks

This guy looks like he has a beautiful view of the ocean and no fear of falling. I love the low clouds that separte the sky and ocean.
